The story of Google’s doodles

Google Doodle is always been one of my favorites , That’s way you can see many posts about Doodle in this blog. As you know Doodles are the fun, surprising and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo[...].

It celebrate holidays, anniversaries and the lives of famous artists, pioneers and scientists and events such as such as the Olympics.

New Star Trek Google Doodle

The latest one is the interactive doodle that appears on the Google home page on Saturday shows the characters of the  ‘Star Trek’ ,an American science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry that follows the adventures of the starship USS Enterprise and its crew  , led by Captain James T. Kirk, first officer.

Google’s letters have been remade into Star Trek crew members and there’s a storyline inside the doodle, with many references to the episode and show. The iconic instrumental Theme from Star Trek by Alexander Courage continuously plays in the background.

The doodle ends in classic Star Trek style with the USS Enterprise zipping past in the backdrop of stars and the Google letters appear in yellow.

 

The first doodle that Google posted to commemorate a television program was on September 30, 2010 for the 50th Anniversary of the popular animated series The Flintstones.

 

The story of Google Doodle starts In 1998, before the company was even incorporated, the concept of the doodle was born when Google founders Larry and Sergey played with the corporate logo to indicate their attendance at the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. They placed a stick figure drawing behind the 2nd "o" in the word Google, and the revised logo was intended as a comical message to Google users that the founders were "out of office".

While the first doodle was relatively simple, the idea of decorating the company logo to celebrate notable events was born.
