Google-Chrome-PDF-reader

There are tons of good things in Google Chrome which make it a really awesome browser. One of them is view PDFs right from Google Chrome without need to install any PDF Reader or any browser plugin for Chrome   in your Computer.

How to Use Google Chrome as Your Default PDF Reader (the Easy Way)

If you’re anything like 99% of everybody, you have some sort of PDF viewing software installed on your PC—but did you realize that you can use Google Chrome to view PDFs from your PC? It’s easy!

We’re showing off how to do this in Windows, but theoretically it would work for OS X or Linux as well. If you’ve tried it, let us know in the comments.

Enabling Google Chrome as Your Default PDF Reader

Start off by right-clicking on any PDF file, and heading to the “Open with” item on the menu. If you don’t see this, you can usually hold Shift and right-click, and it will be there. From the list choose Google chrome ,but sadly Google Chrome isn’t listed—but no matter, you can just click the Browse button and find it.  (best bet is to copy and paste the full path from Chrome Shortcut icon).

you’re done. That’s it. Easy, right?

And now when you double-click on your PDF file, it’ll launch straight in Chrome.

Convert any Web page to PDF in Google Chrome

Google Chrome’s Print to PDF option is a basic built in functionality. But it is these little things that are making it win the battle of the browsers. Printing to PDF is a very useful fail safe to have around when there is no printer to be found.

Handy Tip: It’s also useful if you want to archive webpages for a later read. HTML doesn’t save so well; that’s where printing to PDF keeps the layout nearly intact.

So, without further ado let’s see where the Print to PDF option can be found. Here are three short and fast ways:

1. Press Ctrl + P  on the webpage that you want to print to PDF and click on Print.

2. You have all your installed printers listed here. Click on the Destination dropdown and select Print to PDF. You have a choice of Portrait or Landscape modes. Select all or select the page numbers you want to print. A few page viewing controls allow you to preview the page. That’s it! Click on Print, and choose a destination to save the PDF file.
